Good Morning! I feel really good today! I’m excited about this because I haven’t felt all that well in quite awhile. Migraines, extreme tiredness, indigestion, achiness I have been feeling for weeks. Partially this may be due to the heat since I am such a fair weathered girl. For the last week I have been juicing or making green smoothies everyday. I started this last Monday and now it’s Friday morning. The first 3 days were detox/cleanse days which I have NEVER had the willpower nor real desire to complete before. I am about to leave with my in-laws to head out to North Carolina’s White Water Rafting Center so all I want to post about at the moment was this mornings smoothie since it was sooooo very delicious!
I have been experimenting for a few months now with juicing and making healthy smoothies. This is probably the best consistency my shotty blender has turned out. I have also been experimenting with various protein powders. This is Jay Robb Vanilla Protein Powder and has a really nice creamy vanilla flavor and is clean eating approved. It is one of the highest quality whey protein powders I’ve found. I purchased this at my local grocery store at $23 for a 12 oz container (it looks big but when you open it is half full- very deceptive, grrr).
This morning I very groggily poured 2 cups of almond milk into the blender. It simply won’t blend if there is not enough liquid. Then I added a bunch of spinach, a scoop of Greens + powder and 3/4 cup of frozen fruits mango, pineapple and strawberries. Whollla!! Awesome protein shake and ready to head out with the boys to the rafting center! Talk to everyone soon and have an awesome healthy day
